Doing the Right Thing During a Dental Emergency
About Me

When my daughter turned eight, she fell off her bicycle and one of her front teeth fell out. I immediately picked up the tooth and scrubbed it clean. I set the tooth on my kitchen table and I attended to the blood running out of my daughter's mouth. It took me 30 minutes to stop the bleeding and I contacted an emergency dentist. Luckily, the dental professional was able to secure the tooth back in my daughter's mouth, because I made quite a few mistakes when the initial dental incident occurred. I waited too long to call the professional, I scrubbed the tooth, and I left it in a dry area. After the dental emergency, I realized that I knew very little about handling situations that involved the teeth and gums. I learned everything I could about these incidents, and I have provided you with what I know as well.
